Ski commission progress

I am currently on multiple projects one of which is a commission for a collector in London. A sculpture which reflects the family’s love of skiing and adventure, it is reminiscent of my previous project ‘Star-man’. Like ‘Star-man’ I am using complex geometry to recreate the attire. However, I will be incorporating even more contrast in this piece. The final body will be powder coated gloss black and will be complimented with polished bronze skis and poles. The body will be supported on a polished stainless steel plinth which will reflect the room’s surroundings as well as the shapes and light of the structure. This will all enhance the feeling that the skier is in motion. 

While the skier’s face is visible, the eyes remain hidden, so his emotion as ever remains ambiguous.
