I have utilised and refined my fabrication and welding background to create my abstract geometric aesthetic which you can see in my work today.
Every project begins life as a as a single triangular or rolled piece of steel and created using traditional fabrication methods to gradually evolve into the final work.
As the sculpture begins to develop I stop and review the piece from different angles and distances. This allows me to assess and compose the development of the design.
I truly believe implementing this freehand and instinctive method of fabrication gives my work the greatest sense of abstraction and originality.
Simply by virtue of my approach none of my sculptures, even if they are the same are ever exactly the same.
